Egypt. Mass turnout for the pavilions of the Ministry of Culture participating in the home exhibition

A large public turnout for the traditional handicrafts in which the Ministry of Culture participates in the “Diyarna” exhibition of handicrafts and heritage.

The place is held under the slogan “Egypt Speaks Literally”, which this year celebrates the culture and arts of the “Siwa” oasis as the guest of honor.

The Ministry also participates in this session, through the pavilion of the Cultural Development Fund sector, which includes the products of the Handicraft Center in Fustat.

Pottery, seashells, Khayamia, and copper, in addition to the plastic arts sector pavilion, which includes 150 products from the General Administration of Crafts and Heritage Research Centers.

Which are leather products, traditional costumes, wood veneer works, tents, decoupage, and other traditional and handicrafts.

The ministry also organizes a busy artistic program for the exhibition goers, through a number of artistic performances by folk and heritage groups throughout the days of the exhibition.

Which started with the performances of the “Rida and Al-Qawmia for Folklore” bands, which are affiliated with the Artistic House for Folklore and Performing Arts.

In addition to the “Aswan and Matrouh Folklore Bands”, affiliated to the General Authority for Cultural Palaces.

It is noteworthy that the “Diyarna” crafts fair will be held from February 23 to March 11, with the participation of more than 400 exhibitors representing 20 governorates, environmentally friendly associations, the Egyptian Red Crescent, and Nasser Social Bank.

On the sidelines, a number of workshops will be held to teach handicrafts, through a number of NGOs, in order to educate the participants.

Various arts such as “candles, decoration, decorating, copper, macrame, leather, mosaics, accessories, resin and embroidery.”

A place will also be allocated for handicraft workshops for children, in addition to a number of recreational services.
