Egyptian Minister of Culture opens the 11th session of the Faisal Book Fair next Sunday

Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Egyptian Minister of Culture, inaugurates the activities of the eleventh session of the Faisal Book Fair, which is organized by the Egyptian General Book Authority, headed by Dr. Ahmed Bahey El-Din, And that is next Sunday, on the grounds of the Egyptian General Book Authority in the Talbeya area in the Faisal neighborhood, and it will take place from 2 to 12 April 2023.

Al-Kilani said that the Faisal Book Fair represents one of the important Ramadan activities through which we aim to spread knowledge and build the Egyptian character through reading and knowledge, and to reach areas that lack cultural services, noting that the Ministry of Culture is keen this year, through the Faisal Book Fair, to hold events specifically for children. And young people, through artistic workshops and cultural activities. The exhibition also offers discounts of up to 45% on a number of book publications, as part of the “Culture and Art for All” initiative, which was launched during the Cairo International Book Fair in its last edition, and achieved great public demand for a number of books. Publications whose prices range from 1 Egyptian pound to 20 Egyptian pounds, through which we aim to benefit a wide segment of the Egyptian public by purchasing books at a low cost.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Bahey El-Din, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority, said that more than 30 publishers will participate in the exhibition this year, in addition to the sectors of the Ministry of Culture that will participate in presenting their various publications, and participate in various artistic performances between chanting, folk arts and storytelling workshops, in addition to a series of Cultural seminars for symbols of culture and literature.
