The esteemed Egyptian actress “Shams Al-Baroudi” appeared in her latest presence and appearance on the scene after years, during her family celebration of her husband, the esteemed actor Hassan Youssef’s 89th birthday.

Shams Al-Baroudi’s appearance last Saturday evening, via social media, among her family gathering around the iftar table during the blessed month of Ramadan, was a rare occurrence.

Shams disappeared from the artistic and media world since announcing her retirement from the entertainment industry and wearing the veil.

Shams Al-Baroudi and Hassan Youssef’s family iftar was attended by his elder brother, the renowned writer “Mohamed Youssef”, who commented on this family gathering, saying: “Youth is in the heart.

I attended today’s iftar with the big family at the house of my eldest brother, the amazing artist Hassan Youssef, who is nicknamed ‘The Mischievous Boy’.

It was also his 89th birthday, and he still possesses a youthful spirit. May God protect him and grant him good health and well-being.”

Mohamed Youssef also added, “I remember at the end of 1976, two weeks after my return to Egypt following a five-year absence in Tunisia and the Netherlands, Hassan, my father, and I went to attend the condolence of the mother of my sister’s fiancé.

Then, Hassan whispered to me that we will leave after the end of this quarter, and I must give a tip to the reciter as we leave the condolence hall, so as not to disrespect my sister’s fiancé in front of him”.

“I looked at him in astonishment, trying to determine if he was serious or joking. I couldn’t find any signs of joking. And when I showed my concern, he assured me that this habit had emerged among Egyptians during my absence from Egypt.”

“As the reciter finished, I approached my father to ask him if what Hassan told me was true, my father managed to control his laughter and told me not to believe what Hassan said, as he was just joking with me.

We continued to laugh after leaving the funeral hall, realizing that it was a prank that he wanted to play on me. Abu Ali, the joker, Happy birthday, my dear, and may you be well and healthy every year.”
