The United Arab Emirates played a prominent role in stopping conflicts between countries, and putting out the fire that fuels strife and discords, as its efforts always led the way towards reconciliation in search of world peace to prevent bloodshed, preserve humans and their dignity, through the endeavor of its wise leader, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who repeatedly stressed with his actions that he follows the footsteps of the late Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in leading the United Arab Emirates; footsteps that are built on peace, reconciliation, and respect for the human life.
Out of His Highness’s belief that the UAE is marching toward the future, according to an integrated strategy based on several pillars, the most important of which is the human element, we see a direct focus in all government strategies and plans toward human development, so the interest in universities and providing specializations that support future plans were among the government’s top priorities.
In line with the importance of Emiratisation in the private sector and providing job opportunities for citizens, and creating positive competition to invest in the capabilities of the country’s people, the NAFIS Program was launched, which encourages citizens to join the labor market in the private sector, as well as the Industrialists Program, which empowers national cadres and enables them to assume jobs in the industrial and advanced technology sector.
In the Gulf, the United Arab Emirates has sought to create Gulf integration among the region’s countries by consolidating the bonds of brotherhood, action, and cooperation between the GCC countries due to its positive impact on the region. Perhaps the establishment of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council is one of the most prominent initiatives achieved by the UAE with the direct support of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE – may God protect him – whose vision is consistent and integrated with national strategies and visions.
Regionally and globally, the United Arab Emirates, under directives derived from the humanity of the President of the UAE, may God protect him, has contributed to maintaining the security and stability of many countries in the region, whether by providing support forces or through health and medical care and providing humanitarian aid, as the rapid response to the distress of many humanitarian situations around the world by providing medical treatment is a human glimpse that reflects a spirit rich in giving and compassion, not to mention the UAE’s support for the development of treatment methods by providing a grant to the Harvard Stem Cell Institute to support and develop gene modification research to treat type 1 diabetes, by replacing beta cells in the pancreas, as part of the Reaching the Last Mile Initiative, which focuses on strengthening relationships with the concerned parties in order to achieve effective and sustainable change in the disease that now affects most countries of the world.
We should be mindful of the strategic role played by the state in supporting brothers and friends in crises and disasters, whether through the active participation of the UAE forces or by sending aid from food and medical supplies as part of the state’s relief initiatives.
All these great strides have been made, and yet the UAE’s ambitions with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan still have a lot to offer, and there is no question that in the coming years, we will be talking about a country that does not recognize the impossible.
