Korra Energi signs an agreement to carry out the development of the Cairo Sheraton Hotel

Korra Energi, a leader in construction and new energy, signed with the Arab Company for Touristic Projects, which owns the Cairo Sheraton Hotel and Casino, a contract to implement the hotel development process, It was signed on behalf of Korra Energi by Eng. Ayman Korra, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Korra Energi Company, and on behalf of the Arab Company for Tourism Projects, Ibrahim Al-Shaibani, General Manager of the company, in the presence of a group of the executive leaders of the two companies.

According to the contract signed today, Korra Energi Company will completely renovate Nefertiti Tower internally and externally, as the renovation works that will take place without disrupting the work of the hotel include finishing works, furniture, and various electrical systems (electrical systems, telephone, fire alarm, monitoring), and various mechanical systems (air conditioning, sanitary works, and firefighting), with the addition of new and distinct aesthetic touches to the building with all its internal and external details, with a total value of the project about one billion Egyptian pounds.

For his part, Engineer Ayman Qurra, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Korra Energi, expressed his happiness with the implementation of this project, and said: “I am proud of our winning the confidence of the Arab Company for Touristic Projects to implement the Cairo Sheraton Hotel renovation project, which is one of the most important tourism projects in Cairo, and I am confident that our team is able to implement this project.” Elham with all professionalism and credibility, as we believe in the importance of our role in the reconstruction of the land and the achievement of sustainability.”

On the same level, Engineer Samir Selim, Executive Director of the Contracting Business Unit, Korra Energi, said: “We are pleased with this new and important project, which is an addition to our long history spanning more than 20 years of providing innovative and sustainable solutions in the fields of contracting and energy, making us the first choice for customers to implement these projects.” The quality of the works, including replacement and renewal works such as the Cleopatra Group Hospitals and the National Bank of Egypt, which need precise applications in terms of technical and operational requirements and high quality standards.

It is worth noting that Sheraton Cairo is considered the first hotel in Africa, which was established in 1970. The hotel consists of two towers adjacent to each other, namely Cleopatra Tower, consisting of 326 rooms and suites that were completely renovated in 2017, and Nefertiti Tower, consisting of 325 rooms and suites, in addition to various restaurants, a wedding hall, meeting rooms, and a casino. It will be completely renovated, which will contribute to supporting and revitalizing the Egyptian tourism sector.
