Thirty businessmen and women from Tunisia participate in the Collesion Salon in Toronto, Canada

A delegation of thirty businessmen and women from Tunisia, active in the technology and communications sector, intends to participate in the Collesion Salon in Toronto, Canada, the “Technology Olympiad”, which will be held from 26 to 29 June 2023.

The Center for the Promotion of Exports in Tunisia said, on Friday, that the economic operators will be accompanied by the Center for the Promotion of Exports and the Canadian Embassy in Tunisia.

Collesion Toronto is the largest technology event in North America and will bring together 40,000 technology industry leaders from more than 140 countries and attract more than 850 investors and nearly 2,000 startups, according to the same source.

In this context, the Canadian Embassy in Tunisia organized, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, a meeting to communicate and assist Tunisian companies to participate in this mission.

The meeting allowed the Tunisian institutions that participated in the 2022 edition of the Collesion Fair to share their experience with those who intend to participate in the Salon in its 2023 and 2024 editions.

Mourad Ben Hussein, Director General of the Center for the Promotion of Exports, and Lorraine Deguerre, Canadian Ambassador to Tunisia, highlighted the potential offered by the Canadian market, which is considered one of the main technological poles in North America and includes more than 45,000 institutions in the field of information and communication technology.

In addition, some Tunisian companies will participate in the corporate twinning program called “Canada’s Future” and organized by the Canadian Trade Missions Service.

Other startups will also participate in “Alfa”, a program dedicated to these organizations, organized on the sidelines of the “Collesion” exhibition.
