Jordanian Chef Jaradat…innovative touches in the world of cooking

He is still young, only twenty-three years old, but his imprints on the world of cooking and food speak about him and present him to the world as the owner of innovative touches that have a great impact on the culinary scene as a whole.

Since the beginning, Mohannad Jaradat has been a leading figure with a charismatic presence in various situations. He discovered his love for cooking at a young age; where he helped his mother with cooking and making sweets, insisting on change, suggesting adding new flavors, choosing alternatives to the usual types of spices, improving taste, and racing in preparing invitations and banquets by undertaking them from beginning to end. He surprised everyone with his desire to study culinary art at the prestigious Royal Academy of Culinary Arts in Jordan.


Sana Jabr, Chef Jaradat’s mother, says, “Because it is incumbent on the family and parents in particular to support their children and develop their passion, we took him by the hand and encouraged him to pursue his passion and follow his ambition to be what he loves in the place where he can excel.”

She added: When he graduated from the Royal Academy in 2019, he was one of the best students in talent, performance and excellence, and the days passed as he climbed the ladders one after another, proving to everyone his distinction and his endless love for what he makes; confirming that he possesses a unique talent that we rarely find in a young chef, but he has great experience and passion.

Jaradat achieved remarkable achievements and played important roles in the world of cooking, and rose in his roles, ranks and grades with high energy and creative passion for creating exceptional food experiences; starting from winning a gold medal in the Horeca competition in Jordan, moving on to representing Jordan and his university in the Young Chef Olympiad held in India.

According to Jabr, we can see in Mohannad’s career a journey of dedication, skill and ambition that knows no bounds. Where he is currently working in the restaurant “Le Pavillon” in the United States of America in the state of New York; in view of the international classification, it is a well-known restaurant that has a Michelin Star, and is visited by high-ranking guests, visitors and politicians who taste the secret of flavor and are creative in choosing a place that captivates its visitors with its innovative culinary creations. Jordanian Chef Mohannad Jaradat showed an innate passion for the culinary arts with a natural flair for flavors, curiosity and love for

experimentation that never ends in the kitchen; alongside his passion and early history with cuisine, flavors, tasting and innovation in the culinary world. When he matured and wanted to choose a field of study after high school, we find him pursuing his dreams by enrolling in the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. There, his teachers recognized him as the owner of an exceptional, creative talent of originality and modernity; something which they rarely find amongst his peers.

After his graduation, success, excellence, and excellence, Jaradat, who was known for his exceptional talent, dedication, mastery, passion, achievement, and superior professional performance, was chosen to work side by side with his mentors, professors, and coaches in the same institution from which he graduated over the course of two years; which contributed to his advancement and elevation by several ranks on the ladder of professional and administrative development. This opportunity allowed him to develop his skills, improve his techniques and contribute to the culinary education of future aspiring chefs.

With regard to his achievements, according to Jabr, we must mention his victory in the Horeca competition. Mohannad’s Jaradat’s journey reached new heights, as he participated in the famous Horeca competition in Jordan, and showed outstanding skills in cooking, creativity and organization, and won a gold medal; which cemented his reputation as a rising talent in the food and gastronomy industry. Certainly, this achievement is a testament to his dedication, hard work and ability to craft exceptional flavors that delighted the judges and patrons alike.

In the Young Chef Olympiad 2020, and based on his success in the Horeca competition, the Jordanian chef had the honor and pride to represent his country (Jordan) and his university (Royal Academy of Culinary Arts) globally in 2020; by participating in the Young Chef Olympiad held at the time in India, by competing with talented young chefs from more than sixty countries, Mohannad demonstrated an innovative and masterful approach to his craft. His brilliant performance earned him an advanced position, as he ranked fourth in it, which helped him establish his position as a rising star in the world of junior cooking. It was right for his country to be proud of him and his achievement and to fully support him.

Driven by the constant pursuit of excellence, Jordanian Chef Mohannad Jaradat finds himself a creative opportunity to experience working in an international restaurant; he now works at La Pavillon restaurant, in the heart of New York City, owned by the famous French chef, Daniel Boulud.

Mohannad Jaradat’s commitment to his craft combined with his strong work ethic and uncompromising passion have earned him the opportunity to collaborate with renowned chefs and contribute to La Pavillon’s renowned culinary scene; at the same time, he was awarded a scholarship from the international restaurant, Noma, to be one of the restaurant’s private tasters of flavors that are not offered to the public, to express his opinion on them, so that they can then be presented to the public; in conjunction with proudly representing his Jordanian heritage.

The journey of Jordanian chef Mohannad Jaradat, starting as a young man who was enthusiastic about cooking, to becoming an accomplished chef, is an example of talent, perseverance, and dedication for Jordanian youth.
