Cyber Crime Unit Suspend TikTok Platform in Jordan citing reasons

The Cybercrime Unit announced that the unit and the cybercrime teams are following up on what is being published on social media platforms, especially with regard to hate speech, incitement to vandalism, assaults on law enforcement agencies and property, and banditry.
The Unit explained in a statement that the competent authorities will refer anyone who commits such crimes to the judiciary.
The Unit stated that TikTok platform failed to deal with the users’ misuse of the platform, not only in glorifying and spreading acts of violence or calls for chaos, but also in promoting and falsifying videos from outside the Kingdom to influence the feelings of citizens. As a result, its services in the Kingdom were temporarily suspended.
