Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, issued a decision to return the “Naguib Mahfouz periodical, after stopping it for years.
This is in cooperation between the Supreme Council of Culture, the Egyptian General Book Authority, the Cultural Development Fund Sector, and the Naguib Mahfouz Museum.
The Minister of Culture also issued a decision to return the Naguib Mahfouz series, which was issued by the General Book Authority, coinciding with the Ministry of Culture’s celebrations of the 111th anniversary of the birth of the Nobel writer.
Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, said that the return of the international writer Naguib Mahfouz’s series and periodical represents a step towards introducing many contexts of the unique Mahfouz creativity and contributions.
This is for a large group of critics and specialists from inside and outside Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed Bahey El Din, head of the Egyptian General Book Authority, said that he will soon announce the dates for receiving works for the series.
Which is scheduled to be issued by the Supreme Council of Culture, in cooperation with the Authority, as a great addition to the cultural arena.
The committee proposed the establishment of a cultural center and museum in the name of Naguib Mahfouz, as well as the issuance of an annual periodical bearing his name.
