Iraqi PM and Pakistani Foreign Minister discuss the transport file within the development path project

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari discussed today, Monday, the transportation file within the development road project.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his accompanying delegation,” noting that “during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, strengthening joint cooperation in the economic, military and intelligence fields, and agreeing to resume the work of the joint ministerial committee between Iraq and Pakistan.

According to the statement “The meeting dealt with the transportation file, which falls within the strategic (Development Road) project, which connects the East with the West, ways of cooperation between Baghdad and Islamabad in this context, and investing the opportunities announced within the project, in a way that enhances the interests of the two countries and development efforts in the region.”

“The meeting witnessed a discussion of the file of visitors to holy and religious shrines in Iraq, and the facilities provided by the government to visitors from all countries of the world, including the friendly country of Pakistan, as well as a discussion of the file of Pakistani labor in Iraq.”
