Launch of the Lebanese – French coordination committee (CCLF) from Paris

The French-Lebanese Coordination Committee (CCLF) was launched in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

This second experience, which simulates the broad Lebanese diaspora, comes after the formation of the Lebanese-American Coordination Committee, in the year 2021, whose coordination framework has proven effective in serving the Lebanese cause, and the common American-Lebanese interests from Washington.

The ceremony brought together members of the seven associations, and French personalities of Lebanese origin, as well as French personalities, in the presence of the media and virtual means of communication, which were marked by a message of support from the Lebanese-American Coordination Committee from the United States of America.

The committee included the following associations: Lebanon for Change (CL), the Lebanese Gathering in France (CLF), the Foundation for Lebanese Expansion Overseas (DLO), the Lebanese Forum in Europe (FLE), Lebanese Citizens Around the World (MCLM), Our New Lebanon – France ( ONL – France), Lebanese Expatriate Network (TLDN-France). The Civic Impact Forum (CIH) participated in the ceremony as the Lebanese advisory organization for the committee.

The committee referred to the intersection of common interests between France and Lebanon during its presentation of its civil national vision under the title “The Lebanese Cause: Current Challenges and the Orientation towards the State of Citizenship.”
The conference opened with a welcome speech, followed by a presentation by the assemblies of the main headings of the committee’s vision:
● Implementation of the Lebanese constitution with all its components to preserve the Lebanese civilized identity in freedom, pluralism and coexistence,
● The priority of restoring sovereignty,
● Stopping the use and introduction of the sectarian concept in the political field,
● Establishing a state of citizenship and respecting pluralism,
● Pushing towards achieving justice with the establishment of a state of law and efficiency,
● Respecting the neutralization of Lebanon based on the Baabda Declaration (2012) with the implementation of the decisions of the United Nations and the League of Arab States, since Lebanon is A founding member in both,
● Implementing structural and economic, social and financial sectoral reforms,
● Implementing expanded administrative decentralization,
● Confirming the right of return of Palestinian refugees as stipulated in United Nations resolutions, and facilitating the return of Syrian refugees in a way that Lebanon avoids any form of disguised or direct settlement.

In conclusion, the committee launched the “Paris Declaration” calling for a state of citizenship, for a sovereign and independent Lebanon, to work to achieve the values ​​of freedom, justice, equality, freedom of belief and opinion in all political, economic and cultural fields, etc.

An indication that the French-Lebanese Coordination Committee (CCLF) will be concerned with the joint work of French groups, institutions and personalities of Lebanese origin to achieve the goals of its vision, and to support common French-Lebanese causes.

The committee aspires, through effective diplomacy and initiative, to build bridges of cooperation between France and Lebanon in a way that serves to strengthen the values ​​of freedom, justice, human rights, and common interests, and push towards activating Lebanon’s role in the international community in cooperation with France.
