Libya: Al-Sayeh is discussing with the United Nations Development Program ways to support the international community to the Electoral Commission

The President of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, discussed Tuesday evening, with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Marc-Andre Franche, the latest developments in the electoral process.

The two sides also reviewed, during a meeting held at the Commission’s office, in the presence of the chief technical advisor of the “People” project, Hugo Salmanke, and member of the Commission’s Council, Abdul Hakim Al-Shaab, ways of supporting the international community to the Commission through supportive expertise in the field of managing and implementing elections.

French praised the efforts made by the commission in the stages of the electoral process that have been completed, stressing the commitment of the donor countries to strengthening the democratic path in Libya in order to complete the expected electoral events.
