Nevin Al-Kilani: Declaring the New Valley the Egyptian Capital of Culture for the year 2023

After a two-year hiatus, the 35th session of the General Conference of Egyptian Writers, organized by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, will start on the twenty-ninth of this December.

It is hosted by the New Valley Governorate, under the auspices of Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, and Major General Muhammad Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley. It is chaired by the great writer Muhammad Salmawi, and its general secretariat is assumed by Dr. Hamdi Suleiman.

The course bears the name of the late great critic and thinker Dr. Shaker Abdel Hamid, former Minister of Culture.

Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, said that the choice of the New Valley to hold this ancient conference comes in implementation of the Ministry of Culture’s strategy aimed at achieving cultural justice.
