Presidency of the Egyptian Republic:
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, at Al-Qubba Palace on Monday evening, on the second day of the Sultan’s visit to Egypt.
The Omani Sultan inspected the new administrative capital, where His Majesty visited Egypt’s Islamic Cultural Center (Masjid Misr), the City of Arts and Culture, including the Opera House, the Museum of the Capitals of Egypt and an integrated set of exhibition halls, theaters and libraries.
This was followed by bidding farewell to Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the great guest of Egypt, Sultan “Haitham bin Tariq” at Cairo airport after the end of his visit to Egypt.
It is an official visit that lasted for two days, during which summit talks were held dealing with ways to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and consultations on regional and international issues of common concern.
On Monday evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq exchanged the highest honors in the two countries, in celebration of the visit of the Sultan of Oman to Egypt, and in light of the close historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that President Sisi welcomed his brother, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, as an honored guest of Egypt, during the talks.
expressing his best wishes for success in completing the comprehensive development process and success in achieving the “Oman 2040” vision.
In this context, Sisi also praised the historical friendly relations between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, which were formed through decades of solidarity, solidarity and standing together against crises and challenges.
while affirming Egypt’s keenness to promote these distinguished relations in a way that achieves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and the entire Arab nation.

This is to build on the positive results achieved in this regard during the President’s visit to Muscat in June 2022, as well as to continue consultation and coordination between the two sides on regional and international issues of common interest.
especially in light of the strategic and cultural depth that Egypt represents for the Arab nation, and an essential element in maintaining the security and stability of the region.
The two leaders also expressed satisfaction with the continuous increase in trade growth rates, while affirming the continuation of strengthening the ongoing efforts in this regard between the concerned authorities in the two countries.
The two sides also discussed ways to exchange expertise and experiences in achieving institutional development and modernizing the administrative apparatus of the two countries and their work mechanisms in a manner characterized by governance and digitization.
The Spokesman added that the talks witnessed an exchange of views on regional and international issues, within the framework of permanent coordination and consultation between the two countries, and their endeavors to achieve regional stability and security.
Especially in light of the great threats facing the region and many Arab countries, where the visions of both sides coincided on the need to intensify efforts to settle the existing crises, in a way that protects the supreme interests of the Arab peoples and preserves their capabilities and gains.
