Police officer wounded in Rum Reserve shooting

An officer of the Royal Badia Police was injured while removing attacks in the Rum Tourist Reserve.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said, “A security force from the Royal Badia Police Command carried out, executive orders to remove attacks and encroachments inside the Rum Tourist Reserve.”

He added that, during that, “a number of people fired bullets from inside their vehicles at the force, and they were dealt with, and as a result of the incident, one of the force officers was wounded, and he was taken to the hospital while he is under treatment, and the investigations are still ongoing.”

The media spokesman confirmed that the removal orders came today after several warnings were issued to the land trespassers from the competent references, and the exhaustion of the deadlines given to them to correct their situation, and their insistence on refraining from implementing them.
