SARC receives 350 tons of aid relief from Iraqi Government

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) received 350 tons of aid relief from the Iraqi Red Crescent Society provided by the Iraqi Government to the earthquake-affected people in Syria.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society said in a statement that it sent 350 tons of food and relief aid, including 16 tons of emergency and medical supplies which were transferred in 31 trucks to Syria via al-Bukamal border crossing in Deir Ezzor province.

The Society added that the aid relief also included blankets, tents, food-stuffs and personal and household hygiene supplies.

It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has sent more than 140 tons of humanitarian assistance since the occurrence of the earthquake disaster in Syria to ease the suffering of those who have been affected.
