Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Egyptian Minister of Culture, received Ambassador Maryam Khalifa Al-Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Cairo, to discuss ways to enhance joint cultural cooperation.

Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, stressed the importance and depth of the close relations between the two countries, government and people, praising the Egyptian-Emirati cultural exchange, stressing the keenness of both sides to strengthen the aspects of bilateral cultural relations between the two countries. It aims to consolidate areas of cultural cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two sides, including the establishment of an Egyptian-Emirati cultural week between Egypt and the UAE, during which a series of activities and folkloric performances of the two cultures will be presented, including patterns of dress, folklore, traditional crafts, and others.

The meeting also touched on cooperation in the field of cultural and creative industries, publishing and the arts, Emirati participation in Egyptian cultural and artistic events and festivals, and mechanisms for optimal investment due to the cultural potentials that countries possess. The two sides also discussed means of future partnerships in international events between them.
