Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today, Saturday evening.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the call dealt with various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, including the course of implementing economic projects undertaken by Russia in Egypt.
The Foreign Ministry Spokesman added that the two ministers discussed a number of developments at the regional and international levels.
This is where Minister Sameh Shoukry was keen to review Egypt’s stance towards the various developments in the Middle East.
He also briefed the Russian minister on the results of the contacts that Egypt is conducting to promote stability and peace in the region.
