Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed the celebration held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of diplomatic relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Qatar.
He was received by Ambassador Salem Mubarak Al Shafi, Qatar’s ambassador to Egypt.
The ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, officials, and ambassadors of a number of countries to Egypt.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly delivered a speech, initiating it by expressing his happiness at attending this celebration on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the inauguration of diplomatic relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the sisterly State of Qatar.
With which Egypt and its brotherly people have always united fraternal relations and cooperation at various levels, as this occasion coincides with the celebration of the National Day of the sisterly State of Qatar.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the celebration of this dear occasion comes at the end of a special year for diplomatic relations between the two countries.
This year witnessed the reception of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, in Egypt last June.
As well as the President of the Republic’s visit to the State of Qatar last September.
This was followed by the President’s subsequent visit in November to Doha to participate in the opening of the World Cup in Qatar.
This is to express at the highest level Egypt’s pride and support for its sister Qatar in organizing this important tournament.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly indicated that these visits, and the many exchanged visits of officials and businessmen from Egypt and Qatar, carried a clear indication of the strength of relations between the two countries.
It represented clear practical evidence of the determination of their leaderships to push these relations forward to new horizons, and to coordinate visions and positions in order to enhance the capabilities of the two countries.
As well as the Arab capabilities in general, in facing the existing regional and international challenges.
During his speech, the Prime Minister pointed out that these growing challenges, the burdens they bear, and the diverse and unprecedented threats they bear.
Which obliges our Arab countries to prioritize cooperation, coordinate capabilities, unite efforts, reject disagreement, and work diligently and vigorously to uphold the values of peace, security, and stability.
In accordance with the rules of mutual respect, striving to achieve development and prosperity of peoples, and keenness on humanitarian contribution in its various forms and forms.
Thus, we can defend our common Arab security, and fulfill the aspirations of peoples to occupy their deserved position on the international arena.
Madbouly expressed Egypt’s pride and appreciation for the close relationship that unites us with the sisterly State of Qatar, our Qatari brothers, and the fraternal and historical ties that unite us.
He also invited all officials and businessmen in the two countries, urging them to proceed with seriousness and determination towards achieving this.
In his speech, the Prime Minister called for making the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the distinguished relations between the two countries, coupled with sincere determination to make the next one more distinguished.
This is done by advancing relations between the two countries to new horizons, in which joint investments, intra-trade and tourism are enhanced.
As well as cooperation in strategic projects, transport sectors, financial services and other fields in which the two countries have promising opportunities and capabilities, and in a way that supports the locomotive of development and progress in them.
During the celebration, Salem Mubarak Al Shafi, Qatar’s ambassador to Egypt, expressed his happiness.
This coincides with the celebration of his country’s National Day, with the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Which is currently witnessing a breakthrough and remarkable cooperation in various fields, and movement at all levels, including the achievement of good for the two countries.
