The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, arrived in Baghdad on an official visit.

Earlier, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed that the visit of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, comes in the context of supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government at all levels.
Al-Sahhaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the visit of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, comes in the context of supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government at all levels, and it is an expression of the balanced role that Iraq plays in a way that enhances international peace and security.”
He added, “The visit confirms the openness of Iraq’s foreign policy, and its pivotal role in all issues of the region and the world.”
