Tunisia condemns armed groups storming the residence of its ambassador in Khartoum

Tunisia condemned armed groups for storming the residence of its ambassador in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, looting his property and tampering with its contents.

The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, in a statement, that the raid on the residence of the ambassador is a flagrant violation of the sanctity of the headquarters of diplomatic missions.

She pointed out that “Tunisia calls for tracking down the perpetrators and holding them accountable, and reaffirmed its firm position calling for restraint, an immediate end to the fighting, and giving priority to the supreme interest of the Sudanese people.”

According to the statement, the ministry expressed Tunisia’s full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at stabilizing the armistice in Sudan and returning to dialogue to get out of the crisis.
