Tunisia. President Kais Saied extends the state of emergency in the country until the end of January

Tunisian President Kais Saied issued a presidential decree, No. 959 of 2022, to extend the state of emergency in the country until the end of next January 2023.

Provided that the state of emergency begins in the entire Tunisian Republic, starting from January 1 and ending in the new year 2023.

It is noteworthy that President Said declared a state of emergency in Tunisia, from February 2022 until the end of this December, and for a period of more than ten months.

The state of emergency began in Tunisia since 2015, following the occurrence of a terrorist incident, during which an edge of the Tunisian presidential security was blown up, killing 12 security men in Tunisia, and injuring 16 other people, between civilians and terrorists.
