Abdoulaye Bathily, UN envoy to Libya, expressed his aspiration to hold regular consultations with the Libyan Supreme Judicial Council and all actors and parties in Libya.
This came in a tweet he posted on his account on the social networking site “Twitter”: after his meeting in Tripoli with the President and members of the Libyan Supreme Judicial Council.
Batili said in a tweet: I met today with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Miftah Al-Qawi, and members of the Council, and discussed with them the important role of the judiciary in the electoral process and in the field of human rights protection.
Today, I met with the Supreme Judicial Council President Mr. Miftah Al Qawi and Council members. We discussed their crucial contribution to the electoral process and the protection of human rights.
