The branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region finished its preparations for the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 1444 AH, by preparing all the timings, mosques and facilities for receiving Umrah pilgrims and visitors, within the framework of the services provided to the guests of Rahman, as well as Mosques and mosques were equipped and provided with their needs, which included mattresses, the provision of copies of the Qur’an of various sizes, safes for the preservation of the Qur’an, and other supplies, as well as the provision of field teams to perform emergency maintenance.
The Director General of the Ministry’s branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Dr. Salem bin Haj Al-Khamri, explained that the supervisory teams conduct daily tours of the mosques. To ensure preventive maintenance work that includes all electrical and mechanical devices, equipment, and air-conditioning units, indicating that an emergency team has been formed to work 24 hours a day, and to confirm the speedy termination of faults, reports, complaints, and notes, and to report on them.
And he stated that employees of mosques were warned of the need to adhere to the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry, and not to use cameras in mosques to photograph the imams praying during the performance of prayers, and not to transfer prayers or broadcast them in the media of all kinds, and the muezzins were warned to adhere to the times of the call to prayer according to The Umm Al-Qura calendar, and the call to prayer for the Isha prayer at the specified time in the blessed month of Ramadan, and that the iqama after the call to prayer be according to the approved period for each prayer.
He pointed to the importance of verifying the absence of any violations of the people in retreat in the mosques, and the imam knowing the data of the people in retreat, and requesting the approval of the approved sponsor for non-Saudis according to the controls and directives notified in advance, and organizing the Iftar project for fasting people in the mosques and mosques of the region, and not collecting financial donations for projects to break the fast and others.
