Nasser bin Hamad crowns the champions of His Highness’s 120 km championship at the end of the endurance season

Under the patronage and presence of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, the competitions of Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship, organized by the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, were held. With the support of the Bahrain Petroleum Company “Bapco”, the Bahrain Jewelery Center and Techno Gym, in addition to the sponsorship of companies and institutions for the current season, in the Bahrain International Endurance Village, with the participation of a large number of stables and riders.

The private stables race was held, which was crowned by the knight Mohammed Al-Hashemi from Al-Riffa stable, while the knight Asim Abdul-Wahed from Al-Zaeem stable won the title of the international open race for the Cup of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for a distance of 120 km.

On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that the outstanding levels witnessed in the stages of the races confirm the Bahraini ability’s progress on the right path, which results from its continued rise to the highest levels and contributes to achieving positive results in the external participations, especially since the riders are raising their technical levels in the local championships. This is reflected in participations abroad, which was evident throughout the last period through achieving a series of distinguished achievements for the Bahraini capacity.

Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa indicated that the Bahraini ability wrote a new chapter of success chapters with the end of the 2022/2023 season at the highest technical, organizational and administrative levels, as the season witnessed remarkable success in terms of wide participation and new faces produced by the ability championships, which is one of the goals that we always look forward to. It should see young faces capable of carrying the banner of Bahraini capacity in the coming period.

Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the sponsors and supporters of the championship, pointing out that their provision of this support confirms their keenness to contribute to the success of the endurance races and embodies their support for the youth and sports sectors.

Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the knights who won the first places in the private stables race and the international open race, indicating that the victory is the result of their great efforts in the race at all stages.

Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa followed all stages of the race, as Sheikh Nasser was keen to direct the riders and provide them with full support, which contributed to giving the riders a great moral incentive to finish the stages successfully.

And he won the first place in the international open race, the rider of the leader’s team, Asim Abdel Wahed, after he finished the race with a time and an estimated time (4 hours, 22 minutes and 45 seconds), and his colleague in the same team, the knight Jaber Badr, won the second place with a time and an estimated (4 hours, 40 minutes and 27 seconds), and a knight Team Victorious Mohammed Abdul Hameed Al Hashemi won third place with a time of (4 hours, 44 minutes and 55 seconds).

As for the private stables race, the jockey, Mohammed Abdulhameed Al-Hashemi, from Riffa Stable, won the first place with a time of (4 hours, 44 minutes and 55 seconds), while the second place was motivated by Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Subaie from RM Stable, with a time of (4 hours, 55 minutes and 55 seconds). And the third place was the jockey, Maudy Radelette, from the Al-Asayel stable, with a time of (4 hours, 57 minutes and 28 seconds).

The rider, Muhammad Abdul Hameed Al-Hashimi, from the Riffa stable, the champion of the private stables race, confirmed that this first place win was the result of the hard work of the stable throughout the season, indicating that the competition for the first place was not easy in light of the prominent levels witnessed by the race and the strong competition for the first positions.

He said: “I am overwhelmed with great happiness by obtaining the first place. It is a great honor to win the title of a championship bearing the name of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This coronation does not only count for me, but it is the culmination of an ideal season for the stable, members of the technical and administrative staff, and the knights.”

He continued, “This title will be an incentive for us to continue achieving titles in the next season. It was a wonderful season that witnessed strong competition and outstanding levels throughout the previous tournaments. We congratulate all the title winners and commend the organizational level that the current season came out with.”

For his part, the jockey Asim Abdul Wahed, the champion of the open race, said that the high levels witnessed by the international open race confirm the status of the Bahraini ability and its advanced levels year after another, which is the result of the support and interest of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who provides full support to all stables and riders, which contributed to the development of this sport well-established.

He added, “We were aware that the race would be difficult, especially since it comes as the last championship of the season. It is a great feeling to achieve the title at the end of the season and in a championship bearing the name of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and there is no doubt that this victory came with the solidarity of all the team and their hard work and keenness.” achieve positive results.”

And he continued, “A wonderful season has ended in all respects. The competition was strong, and we saw great levels. I thank the Royal Federation for the perfect organization of the season, and I extend my congratulations to all the knights who won titles in the current season.”

The championship of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa witnessed wide participation from outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, as riders from several countries such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United States of America, Denmark and Switzerland participated.
