Saudi Arabia: over 963,000 Cubic Meters of Water in Makkah, at Holy Sites on Day of Tarwiyah

The National Water Company of Saudi Arabia, has continuously supplied water to Makkah and the holy sites to serve pilgrims during Hajj.

The company said that 963,000 cubic meters of water have been distributed in the past 24 hours in Mina for the day of Tarwiyah (fetching water and quenching thirst), Makkah, the central area of Makkah, and the public facilities at the Grand Holy Mosque, and that water continues to be pumped round the clock to all these places.

The company also said it has a strategic storage of water, is processing all reports received by the company in regards to professional practices, and has been conducting over 4,100 laboratory tests to ensure that potable water is up to standards.

According to the company, there have been no interruptions in its operations, and no cases related to water safety have been reported, reiterating that its field teams are prepared to deal with any emergency.
