Syrian President Bashar al-Assad affirmed that today’s summit meeting is a historic opportunity to rearrange Arab affairs, which requires repositioning in this world that today consists of poles, stressing the investment of the positive atmosphere arising from Reconciliations that preceded the summit until today.
In his speech before the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of the summit, the regular session (32) hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, he demanded the definition of our Arab identity with its comprehensive civilizational dimension away from conflicts with the natural, national, ethnic and religious components, indicating that joint Arab action needs For common visions, strategies, and goals that are transformed into executive plans, a unified policy, firm principles, and clear mechanisms and controls in order for the university to be an outlet for addressing the cracks that have arisen on the Arab scene and restoring its positive role.
He said: “As we hold this summit in a turbulent world, hope rises in light of the Arab-Arab, regional and international rapprochement, which culminated in this summit, which I hope will mark the beginning of a new phase of Arab action for solidarity among us for peace in our region for development and prosperity instead of war and destruction.” .At the end of his speech, he extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, for the great role he played and the intensive efforts he made to promote reconciliation in our region, and for the success of this summit, wishing the government and people of the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
