Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, attended an open meeting organised by the Al Rashidiya Police Centre as part of Dubai Police’s ‘Your Voice is Heard’ initiative.
The initiative which aims to organise meetings with members of the Dubai community, including citizens, residents, and partners, to enhance direct communication and gather feedback and suggestions about services provided by the force.
The meeting convened at the Al Rashidiya Majlis, was also attended by Major General Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station and Chairman of the Dubai Police Council for Directors of Police Stations; Major General Abdullah Khadem Srur Al Maasim, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station; directors of General Departments in the Criminal Investigation Sector, directors of various police stations, senior officers, officials, residents, and partners from the Al Rashidiya Police Station’s jurisdiction.
During the forum, Maj. Gen. Al Mansoori emphasised the importance of effective and constructive direct communication and highlighted Dubai Police’s commitment to considering the opinions and suggestions of the Dubai community.
Colonel Saeed Al Madhani, Director of the Al Rashidiya Police Station, presented an overview of the “Your Voice is Heard” initiative, aiming to raise awareness of the services provided by establishing effective communication channels with residents in residential areas. The initiative seeks to build trust in police services, promote Dubai Police’s services, engage the community in security enhancement, and gather feedback and suggestions.
Colonel Aref Bishwah, Director of Crime Prevention at the General Department of Criminal Investigations, explained the ‘Policeman in Your Neighbourhood’ that bridges communication between Dubai Police and the community. He explained that the initiative has achieved positive results, particularly after expanding its scope to include volunteering across various specialisations and sectors, strengthening community ties and enhancing overall safety.
Colonel Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Muamari, Director of Hemaya International Centre at the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, showcased the objectives of the Hemaya International Centre. He also highlighted the awareness programmes offered to students in schools and universities and the events organised for various community segments.
Lieutenant Colonel Majed Al Bardan, Director of the Happiness Service Centre in the General Department of Administrative Affairs, briefed the audience on the community and security services offered by the Dubai Police through police stations, the website, smart app, Smart Police Stations (SPS), and the 901 call centre.
Concluding the event, Major General Khalil Al Mansoori honoured partners of the Al Rashidiya Police Station, wishing them continued success and looking forward to more collaborative ventures across various sectors.
