Turkish gendarmerie teams seized 399 irregular immigrants, within a week, in the state of Kırklarıli, northwest of the country.
A statement issued by the Gendarmerie Command in the state, on Saturday, stated that 399 immigrants were seized during operations to combat irregular migration in Kırklareli, during the current March 10-16.
He explained that the migrants were handed over to the deportation center in “Pahlawankoy” in the state.
The statement also pointed out that 10 people were arrested on charges of smuggling migrants, and 7 vehicles used in smuggling operations were confiscated
