The governor of the Primorye region in the Russian Far East, Oleg Kogimyakko, presented a group of gifts to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which included a bulletproof vest and Russian drones.
The press office of the governor of the Primorye region said, “Kogimyakko presented to Kim Jong-un a bulletproof suit used in offensive operations. It is a body armor to protect the chest, shoulders, neck, and thighs, and is much lighter than known similar armor. It was developed and produced in the Primorye region.”
The North Korean leader also received 5 suicide drones, and a “Geranium-25” reconnaissance drone that was manufactured in the Russian Northern Military District.
Earlier, during his visit to Primorye, Kim also received gifts from Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and the Commander of Russian Strategic Aviation. Kim also presented a gift to the Pacific Fleet.
The North Korean leader arrived in the Russian Far East last Tuesday, aboard his private train, in the first visit of its kind since 2019.
