Foreign Minister Eli Cohen is visiting the Philippines, marking the first visit by an Israeli foreign minister to this country in 56 years.
Minister Cohen stated on his Twitter account, “We are expanding the scope of cooperation in the fields of security, economy, and others with emerging Asian powers that are gaining significant importance on the international stage.”
He also mentioned that this visit follows his trip to India and expressed his gratitude to Israeli Ambassador to Manila, Ilan Fluss, for organizing the visit.
