Kazakhstan.. The conclusion of the meetings of the first day of the Astana talks on Syria

In the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, on Tuesday, the first day of meetings between Turkey, Russia, Iran and the Syrian were concluded.

Anadolu correspondent reported that the meetings, which started in a hotel in Astana, on Tuesday morning, witnessed the holding of bilateral, tripartite and quadruple consultative talks between the delegations of the 4 countries.

In this context, the Turkish delegation held bilateral talks with the Iranian and Russian delegations, and with the United Nations Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen.

Today, Tuesday, the 20th edition of the Astana meetings witnessed discussions for the first time on a “road map” for normalizing Syrian-Turkish relations.

From the Turkish side, Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Akchabar, from the Russian side, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and from the Iranian side, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ali Asgari Haji, will participate.

As for the delegation of the Syrian regime, it is headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Sousan.

The meeting, in which the deputy foreign ministers of the four countries participated, lasted about two hours.

It is noteworthy that the foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia, Iran and the Syrian regime met in Moscow on May 10, and it was decided during the meeting to prepare a road map for the advancement of Turkish-Syrian relations
