Central African Republic (CAR) President Faustin Touadéra met with a joint force of CAR Armed Forces and Rwanda bilateral force in Bangui, Camp Beal.
President Faustin Touadéra hailed the Rwanda bilateral force for the support and collaboration in maintaining security in CAR.
The Rwanda Defence Force is one of the largest troop contributors to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) since 2014.
In 2020, Rwanda also deployed what it called “force protection troops” to the Central African Republic under a bilateral agreement on defense.
