Slovak President Zuzana Caputova said Sunday she will formally ask the populist Smer-SD party of ex-premier Robert Fico to form a new government on Monday.
“In the spirit of our constitutional tradition, tomorrow I will entrust the formation of the government to the winner of the election,” Caputova said in a statement.
