Turkey.. 541 shelters for earthquake victims and the removal of 468,000 tons of building rubble

The Turkish Ministry of the Interior announced the construction of 332 temporary shelter centers and the establishment of 209 cities containing prefabricated houses in the earthquake-affected areas to shelter the affected people

According to data published by the Ministry of the Interior, , , 332 temporary shelter centers were established in the states of Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Adi Yaman, Malatya, Adana, Sanliurfa, Osmaniye, Diyarbakir, Kilis and Elazig.

The installation of 11,832 out of 95,190 prefabricated houses in the 209 prefabricated cities has also been completed, and one million and 481,000 people have been accommodated in temporary shelters, and 47,328 in prefab cities.

In a related context, an official in the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said that 468,000 tons of rubble from buildings destroyed by the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş had been removed.

The concerned teams continue to remove the rubble in the affected areas, after the end of the search and rescue work.

On February 6, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey and northern Syria, followed by another with a 7.6-magnitude earthquake and thousands of violent aftershocks, killing tens of thousands of people and leaving huge material damage
