Türkiye elections.. 1.5 million voters cast their votes abroad

One million 488 thousand and 842 Turkish voters residing outside the country cast their votes in the general and presidential elections to be held on May 14.

the Supreme Electoral Commission that the aforementioned figure exceeds the number of participants in the 2018 elections for voters residing outside the country, which at that time amounted to 1,358,584 voters.

Turkish voters residing abroad have the right to cast their votes at Turkish embassies and diplomatic missions, at border crossings and airports.

Voting continues in Turkish diplomatic missions abroad until May 9, and at border crossings and airports until the evening of the 14th of the same month.

On May 14, Turkey will witness general and presidential elections, in which current President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a candidate for the People’s Alliance, and Kemal Kilicdaroglu, a candidate for the Ummah Alliance, will compete.

Muharram Ince, head of the Balad Party, and Sinan Ogan are running as a candidate for the “ancestors” coalition.

The number of those eligible for presidential and parliamentary elections is 64,113,941, according to the Supreme Elections Committee
