The National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee of the UAE Football Association has approved the expanded list of the UAE national team and the preparation program before traveling to participate in the Arabian Gulf Cup “Gulf 25”, which will be hosted by the Iraqi city of Basra from 6 to 19 January. .
The expanded list included 35 players: Khaled Issa, Ali Khasif, Fahd Al-Dhanhani, Hassan Hamza, Khaled Al-Sanani, Hassan Al-Mahrami, Salem Sultan, Zashahin Abdul Rahman, Khalifa Al-Hammadi, Walid Abbas, Khaled Al-Hashemi, Abdul Salam Muhammad, Al-Hassan Saleh, Khaled Al-Dhanhani, and Abdulaziz Heikal, Ahmed Jamil, Saeed Jumaa, Yahya Nader, Ahmed Berman, Majed Rashed, Abdullah Ramadan, Majed Hassan, Falah Walid, Khaled Al Balushi, Hussein Mahdi, Muhammad Abdel Basset, Ali Saleh, Tahnoun Al Zaabi, Fabio de Lima, Hareb Abdullah, Yahya Al Ghassani , Caio Canedo, Ali Mabkhout, Sebastian Tigali, and Ahmed Fawzi.
It is scheduled to announce the final list participating in the “Gulf 25”, which will leave for Basra after the end of the matches of the twelfth week of the Professional League.
The UAE national team will enter a camp in Dubai, starting next Monday, for a week, during which it will face its Lebanese counterpart in a friendly match on December 30 at Al Maktoum Stadium in Al-Nasr Club, before traveling to Basra on January 2.
The UAE national team will play in the second group in the “Gulf 25” alongside the teams of Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, as it will start its tournament against Bahrain on January 7, while it will face Kuwait on January 10 and Qatar on January 13 at the Olympic Port Stadium.
