The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his constant generosity to the club and its players, and for the precious trust he placed in the Board of Directors.
This came during the first meeting of the club’s board of directors with its new formation, in which he was briefed on the administrative decision issued by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, to form the board of directors, which included His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Mualla, Chairman of the Club, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Humaid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, First Vice President, His Excellency Omran Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Second Vice President, Jamal Issa Al Midfa, Secretary General, Ali Saeed Al Jallaf, Chief Financial Officer, Omar Numan Al Ali, Assistant Secretary General, and Wahib Jaafar Al Zarouni, Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Marketing Committee.
The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors also thanked and appreciated His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, and the members of the Council, while the Council praised the efforts of the Chairman of the Club’s Strategic Planning Committee, Wahib Jaafar Al Zarouni, for his efforts and the work team that resulted in the club winning and obtaining ISO certificates.
The Board of Directors approved the organization of the late Ali Saeed Abu Khalil’s second open chess tournament.
