Internet search engine giant Google is developing a new program through artificial intelligence, which provides its users with a virtual doctor who answers their questions.
And Google users are currently using it by asking questions whose answer is enormous, which are pages in countless sites, some of which are related and some of which are far from the topic.
But the new “Google Doctor” will provide more accurate answers, and its performance will be exactly the same as that of a human doctor.
Researchers from “Google” said in a study published in the scientific journal “Nature” that the new service will use a system similar to the famous chatbot system, “ChatGBT”.
She added that the accuracy of the answers was 92 percent.
For example, the answers provided by “Google Doctor” were similar to the answers provided by 9 doctors from the United States, Britain and India, who were asked 80 questions.
However, “Google Doctor” failed to provide accurate details and answers about health problems such as “enuresis”, and whether it can be treated.
Google researchers say that the new service does not threaten the work of the general practitioner.
Google Doctor can later be used to answer questions people ask on health service hotlines.
“When people go to the Internet for health information, they are faced with a huge amount of information, so they may choose the worst-case scenario out of 10 possible diagnoses they find there, and experience unnecessary stress,” said lead researcher Vivek Natarajan.
He added that the language model on which Google Doctor is based will provide a brief scientific opinion, and it will be supported by evidence.
He pointed out that it can be used to understand the urgency of the patient’s condition and transfer it to the actual treatment.
