The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence will host the first activities of the “Artificial Intelligence Pioneers” series in 2023, from January 3 to January 6, with the participation of more than 200 experts and specialists in the fields of artificial intelligence.

The event focused on the challenges and opportunities related to deep neural networks, which are essential systems for helping computers access the resources and capabilities they need to answer questions and solve complex problems, which are used in many applications of artificial intelligence such as chatbots.

The public can register to attend the workshops and lectures that will be broadcasted online, and which will witness the participation of more than 20 experts from members of the training bodies of some of the best universities in the world, including the University of Oxford, the University of California at Berkeley, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Washington. In addition to experts from the most prominent international companies such as “Google” and “Meta”.

Professor Eric Zing, President of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, said that the event brings together, in the first week of 2023, a group of the most prominent experts in the fields of deep neural networks, deep learning, and data science to share ideas, knowledge and experiences with the aim of finding solutions to the challenges that represented an obstacle to employing and adapting The true potential of deep learning.

He added that the participation of such a large number of international speakers and experts in the Pioneers of Artificial Intelligence series highlights the university’s ability and position to gather the most prominent experts to discuss important issues within the field of artificial intelligence, including the development of new and innovative technical solutions to detect electronic fraud, support for genetic map development techniques, and limit spread of false and misleading news.

The workshops and lectures witness the participation of many experts and specialists in several areas such as machine learning, applied mathematics, processing and enhancing the performance of systems, with the aim of discussing developments and exploring prospects for cooperation to achieve maximum benefit from deep learning applications.

Participants also highlight the role of deep neural networks in processing and learning from low-dimensional data, which is common in fields that deal with large numbers of observations and variables.

Mohamed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence launched the AI Pioneers Series in 2022 to present a series of meetings designed to stimulate discussions related to advanced research in the field of artificial intelligence.

The series aims to be a global strategic forum that focuses on cooperation, reliability and the pursuit of excellence, and brings together the brightest minds to plan research and present ideas and visions that focus on what artificial intelligence can achieve.
