, the Saudi Electronic University launched the third version of the Arabic program on the Internet, which is concerned with teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, during the ceremony held to celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language 2022 AD, and deals with the contribution of The Arabic language in human civilization and culture, at the Mövenpick Hotel Riyadh.

The President of the Saudi Electronic University, Prof. Dr. Lailak Al-Safadi, delivered a speech in which she welcomed everyone, during which she reviewed the Kingdom’s interest and keenness in the Arabic language, spreading it and strengthening its presence at all levels and forums, indicating that its importance is related to identity and culture, and contributing to preserving and spreading Saudi civilization and culture globally.
She explained that the Saudi Electronic University contributed to spreading the Arabic language globally through the Arabic program on the Internet to teach non-Arabic speakers using the latest international best practices in this field, as many universities and educational centers around the world benefited from the program.

The President of the Saudi Electronic University raised her thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Trustworthy Crown Prince – may God protect them – for their continuous interest in serving the Arabic language, and their unlimited support for all projects that are concerned with serving it locally and spreading it globally, extending her thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Education Professor Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, for the university’s support and assistance, the Arabic program on the Internet, and the standard Arabic test in particular; Because of their importance in spreading the concept and culture of the Arabic language worldwide.

For her part, Dr. Asmaa Al-Hammadi, General Supervisor of the Al-Arabiya Program on the Internet, reviewed the achievements of the program and the development plan, and revealed that approximately 22,000 male and female students benefit from the service, from more than 145 countries around the world, while agreements and memoranda of understanding reached with universities and institutions. She said: The Arabic program on the Internet provides a comprehensive and integrated electronic program that presents an advanced educational series with its classification and standard tests, within an electronic template that is considered one of the most advanced electronic programs in the field of language education, and it also provides the contemporary Arabic language through an interactive electronic program that is flexible. The learner can access it anywhere and anytime.

She explained that what distinguishes the program is that its content conforms to the standards of global content in education, called for by UNESCO, namely: diversity, peace, human dignity, openness, freedom, and diverse cultures.

The ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Open University, Director of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Dr. Ali bin Abdul Khaleq Al-Qarni, and a number of experts, specialists, leaders and thinkers.
