Upcoming features from “Threads”

The Meta Threads application seeks to add new features to strengthen its position as a competitor to other micro-blogging applications by responding to user demands.

And the head of the Instagram application, Adam Mosseri, revealed in recent days that his team is studying adding an alternative “Timeline” (home page) that displays posts according to their chronological order, and from the people who are followed by the user.
The new app, Timeline, now displays a mix of recommended content and posts from accounts the user is following.
Threads was described as an “early version” when it launched last Thursday, and the company hinted at more features to come.
In a post, one of the users asked if it was possible to add a timeline that only displays posts from the following accounts, so Meta manager Mark Zuckerberg expressed his agreement in the comments.
For his part, the director of “Instagram” answered the same request by saying that he was “on the list.”
Other upcoming features under In the Menu in Instagram management include:
• The ability to edit publications
• Translation into different languages
• Easy to switch between different “Threads” accounts
Although we are able to view Threads posts via the computer, we can only create posts through the application, and this is also the company “working on”, according to Mosseri.
There is no search feature, but the company announced at the app’s launch that it would be adding “a more powerful search function,” along with improvements in selecting recommended posts.
Currently, the only way to delete the “Threads” account is to delete the entire “Instagram” account, which is a problem that frightened users, and another problem that the company is looking forward to fixing.
