The Algerian Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production announced that vehicle agents and manufacturers are no longer required to submit certificates issued by the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (ALGEX) to obtain bank localization for import operations related to their activity.

The ministry’s instructions stated: Within the framework of simplifying administrative procedures related to the activities of importing and producing vehicles, let all vehicle agents and manufacturers know that the import operations of new vehicles, groups, sub-groups, accessories and parts used in the vehicle industry will not be subject to certificates issued by the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade.

In this regard, the Ministry affirmed that banking settlement operations require only a control certificate issued by the competent departments of the General Directorate of Industrial Development.

Accordingly, those concerned must deposit requests for control certificates, starting next Sunday, at the level of the General Directorate of Industrial Development at the Algerian Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production.
