Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ataf met Monday evening with Mohamed Hamal, Secretary-General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), who is currently visiting Algeria.
During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the seventh summit of heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum to be held in Algeria next March.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to intensify coordination to provide all the conditions required for the success of the summit.
The Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, had discussed, earlier today, with the Secretary-General of the GECF Forum, the conditions of the global gas market.
