Ukraine offers an alternative path to export grain

The Ukrainian ambassador to Ankara, Vasily Bodnar, announced that the Ukrainian authorities are studying a new option for exporting agricultural products, through the territorial waters of Romania and Bulgaria in the Black Sea.

We have created a guarantee fund on our side, and we can include companies that use their ships to transport grain. He also stressed that this option is possible and that the international community “must assume its responsibilities,” and that “Ukraine can achieve this scenario and put pressure on Russia.”

He added that the Ukrainian authorities are currently working to find a solution to the grain issue and are holding consultations on the international arena, as Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba is working with the United Nations to achieve “international consensus” on extending the grain transfer initiative.
