Algeria was elected as a member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency

Algeria was unanimously elected, Saturday, to membership in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency for a two-year term.

Algeria was elected to the Board of Governors during the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency in the 67th session of the conference in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

Larbi Latroush, Algeria’s permanent representative in Vienna, said in a speech after the vote .

that Algeria’s election to membership in the Council between 2023 and 2025 reflects its full commitment to.

He added that his country’s candidacy for membership received the support of the African Group of Permanent Representatives .
