45 Kharijite militias, including 10 prominent leaders, were killed in a joint military operation of the Somali Army and international partners.
The military operation was carried out on the 5th of this month in the “Qub Yahas” area, 80 km south of the city of Bulo Bordi, Hiran Governorate.
An officer in the Somali army confirmed that the timing of the military operation coincided with a meeting of the elements and leaders of the Kharijite militias at their base in the region.
The military operation targeted the largest base of the Kharijite militias in the “Qub Yahas” area, where more than 110 injured people were treated as a result of the ongoing military operations in the governorates of Hiran, Middle Shabelle, Galgudud and Madug.
