Sudan: The governor of South Darfur promises to address the problem of financial transfers

The governor-designate of South Darfur State, Hamid El-Tijani Hanoun, held a number of meetings during his current visit to the city of Wad Madani, the capital of Gezira State, to follow up on the administrative and financial issues of the state, especially the restart of the Ministry of Finance’s account with the Bank of Sudan, and the disbursement of employee benefits in the state.

The governor told SUNA that he met (Wednesday) with the Director of the Central Bank of Sudan, Port Sudan Branch, to address the problems that hinder financial transfers, especially workers’ salaries, pointing out that the Director of the Central Bank of Sudan, Port Sudan Branch, expressed his willingness to facilitate financial accounting procedures in South Darfur.

Hanoun also added that the Director of the Central Bank of Sudan, Wad Madani Branch, agreed to provide all facilities and fully cooperate with the employees of the Central Bank of Sudan, Nyala Branch, to facilitate banking procedures and the flow of financial transfers to South Darfur State.
