Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Kingdom, met the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen.
The meeting came on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two sides discussed Syria’s political and security situation, Arab countries and UN efforts to address the crisis, and the UN’s humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees and internally displaced persons.
The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Rowaiei.
