Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed the situation in Gaza over phone with Luxembourg’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Jean Asselborn.
During the phone call, the Saudi foreign minister hailed Luxembourg’s decision to vote in favor of the United Nations’ resolution issued which urges an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The resolution also calls for urgent humanitarian truce in the besieged strip in compliance with the international laws and norms and the inter national humanitarian law.
The ministers discussed the developments in and around Gaza, underlining the need for the international community to fulfill its role in bringing about an immediate ceasefire that ensures full protection for civilians.
They also highlighted the need to facilitate the entry of humanitarian, relief and medical aid to prevent the aggravation of the humanitarian crisis experienced by the people in Gaza.
